Relation Between
Plants And Music
Experimental study by the Scientist of Southa Korea, University of Arizona and Dr. Singh: Head of Botany at Annamlai University in India has shown that the music can dramatically enhance plants growth. Different types of music have biological effects on plants especially classical and Rock.
They played Classical and Borque
music and observed plants growth. They founded that the plants produced 72%
more leaves and grew faster up to 20%. When the plants were entertained with Rock music they grew abnormally taller
and died in a period of 2 weeks. The plants, exposed to Borque and Classical
music, ended up in bending towards the speakers rather than light. The plants
which were nearest to the speakers started wrapping themselves around the
speakers.
The scientists, then played 14 different classical pieces including Beethovan’s Moonlight Sonata in rice fields and founded that rice plant grew more fast than their usual growth proving that the plants can hear.
The boffins then repeated their experiments in dark to verify that it was purely music which affected plants growth or not and yielded that even in dark music can enhance plants growth. They are now suggesting that in future this study will help the farmers in growing the crops more quicker at certain times.
